Wire Rope Clamp, DIN 741
This wire rope clamp is used to safely form a load-bearing eye at the end of a wire rope or cable. It's made from high-quality stainless steel and suits wire rope with a diameter of 3 mm-50mm.
The clamp's stainless-steel construction also makes it highly resistant to corrosion and weathering as well as the abrasive forces of wire. As a unit, it consists of a U-bolt and saddle secured by two nuts. The component meets the German Institute for Standardisation's safety requirements for wire rope grips for grip terminations.
Wire rope clamps are frequently used in industrial lifting processes due to their robust and durable nature. They're available from RS PRO in both steel and stainless steel and you can find them in a broad range of sizes suited to different rope diameters.
Features and Benefits
•Carbon steel wire rope clamp
• To be used with 3 mm-50mm diameter wire rope
• Resistant to corrosion and weathering
• Can withstand abrasive wire forces
• Suitable for industrial lifting applications
• Meets DIN 741 (Deutsches Institut für Normung, or the German Institute of Standardisation) specifications
Usage:
Wire rope clips can be used to form a load bearing eye at the end of a cable or wire rope, or to connect two cables together with a lap splice. Wire rope clips are popular because they can be installed in the field and provide 80-90% efficiency of the rope breaking strength, depending on the diameter of the wire rope.
